Blackberry Mojito(1)

Descriptions

This Blackberry Mojito is a fresh and fruity variation of the classic mojito, incorporating Cuban rum, blackberries, and a touch of crème de mûre (blackberry liqueur).

With fresh mint, lime, and sparkling water, this cocktail offers a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and effervescent flavors, making it an ideal summer drink. Easy to prepare, this mojito will bring a delightful berry burst to any gathering.

Directions

1- Cut the half lime into quarters and place them in a tall glass.

2- Add 1 tablespoon cane sugar to the glass.

3- Using a muddler, crush the lime pieces and sugar together to release the juice.

4- Add 7 mint leaves (saving the top for garnish) and lightly muddle to release their aroma.

5- Pour in 4 cl Cuban rum and 2 cl crème de mûre.

6- Fill 8 blackberries with crème de violette (or another fruit liqueur of your choice).

7- Fill the glass three-quarters full with crushed ice and insert the filled blackberries.

8- Top off the glass with sparkling water (or lemon-lime soda if preferred).

9- Stir the mixture gently with a long spoon to combine all flavors.

10- Garnish with the reserved mint sprig and serve with 1 or 2 straws.

Note's

  • You can substitute lemon-lime soda for sparkling water to add extra sweetness to the cocktail.
  • To elevate the flavor, use fresh blackberries when in season; however, frozen blackberries work just as well.
  • Crème de violette can be swapped for other berry liqueurs like raspberry or cherry, depending on your taste preferences.
